The interest rates for SSBs continue to fall in August after the Fed cuts the interest rate by 25 basis points end-July. The cut would help to stimulate the slowing economy. It is still unclear whether the Fed will continue to further cut rates moving forward but it seems that SSBs rates will continue to fall.
I did not subscribe to any SSBs as they are no longer attractive. Instead, I have been adding equities, mainly banks, to my portfolio this month. I have also applied for the CapitaLand Retail China Trust preferential offering with excess.
