May 2019 Singapore Savings Bond

Average interest per annual for 1-year and 10-year period

For the past few months, interest rates have remain relatively flat as the Fed mentioned that there would not be any rate hikes for the year. As mentioned previously, it is better to put as much money as possible earlier into SSBs if there is no use for them. Do not hesitate or wait for the interest rates to go higher.

SSBs continue to be oversubscribed as it is becoming more popular as a risk-free investment with a relatively higher interest compared to traditional savings account. I am still adding more SSBs as and when I have spare cash on hand.
