After Singapore became the worst stock market in Asia last month, the stock started off with a strong rally in November. This week could have been the best week ever for the stock market if the rally continued onto Friday. Unfortunately, most investors are still on the cautious side and took profit before the weekend. As there is still uncertainty as how the US presidential election will turn out, it is unclear whether the rally can be sustained.

I was lucky enough to catch the dip towards the end of October and made some accumulations. As I bought into MLT below the PO price, my intention is to not to take part in the PO. Given now that the price has rebounded above the PO price, I started hesitating whether I should subscribe again.

Dividend collections are on track with only 2 months left to go. Although most counters cut their distributions, I was able to maintain the amount close to last year collection. This is due to a larger capital injection this year to cover the reduce in dividends. The larger capital injection could be also due to more corrections this year.

  1. It may take some time, but the STI will be grand in the long run. This is a buying time.
